It’s almost summer time and nothing more evocatively describes this season than the music of Jimmy Buffett. Bring out your multi-hued Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, palm tree topped sombreros, lawn flamingoes and join us on our lawn for care-free “Lounge at the Lagoon” atmosphere. The music is guaranteed to be electrifying. Self-indulge and allow for a late evening sunset to evade all life’s obligations. Let the rhythmical beats remind you of pounding waves under a cerulean sky. Grab your lawn chairs and blankets or reserve tables up front and personal; bring picnics and beverages of choice, cut up some limes and ENJOY this high energy musical extravaganza. Celebrate with the intensity of a Parrot Head and you will find no stranger in sight. It will be an evening to remember. Bring your pineapple and Caribbean state of mind! We are thrilled A1A keeps searching for the lost shaker of salt finding Gainesville on its way.

The Arts Council, Inc. is offering you a chance to find your lost shaker of salt by announcing A1A’s return to our stage on Saturday, June 1st at The Arts Council Smithgall Arts Center (331 Spring Street SW, Gainesville, GA 30501). Our gates will open at 6:00PM and the concert will start at 8:00PM. Tickets are $18 each plus 7% tax. Tables of 8 can be reserved for $200 each plus tax). We are offering a Caribbean dinner (Jamaican Jerked Chicken, Black Beans and Rice, Mango Salsa, Dessert and Iced Tea) for $10 plus tax. A1A brings to life a highly energetic, colorful, family friendly, Parrot Head Extravaganza Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show. The band has performed exclusively for clients such as Ted Turner, Bill Gates and Microsoft, CNN, NASCAR, Hewlett Packard, The Atlanta Braves, The United States Navy, Bellsouth, AT & T, Georgia Pacific, The Maui Ocean Center, The Georgia Aquarium, The Georgia Transplant Association, Angel Flight, Delta Com, Team National, The MGM Grand, and many more. You will also be treated to some classic Reggae as well as some original A1A Trop Rock music, all mixed together in one big Caribbean beach party musical gumbo!

A1A was first formed in 1991 by band member Jeff Pike, who had already developed an enormous following in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, with his one man, first of its kind tribute to Jimmy Buffett. In 1992 Jeff and A1A won a Margaritaville Records-sponsored Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest. As the first band ever to showcase a high-energy 4-hour concert composed of nothing except Buffett’s best songs spanning every era of his career, A1A became the only Tribute Band personally sanctioned by Jimmy Buffett. While countless other bands have followed in A1A’s wake and cited them as their main inspiration, A1A remains the first and foremost Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show. Period!
